System Architecture Overview
Welcome to the WireByt operational documentation. WireByt bridges physical industrial machinery with clean, real-time analytics dashboards and AI recommendations.
Core Ecosystem
Our architecture consists of three integrated components:
- WireNode Edge Gateway: Industrial hardware mounted on DIN rails inside machine control enclosures, reading Modbus RTU/TCP register loops directly.
- BytBoard Web Console: Secure, subdomain-isolated tenant dashboards displaying live telemetry trends, OEE values, and setpoint overrides.
- BytBoard Mobile Alerts: Active push notification sync alerting on-call technicians of system parameters and deviations instantly.
Standard Deployment Timeline
We install and hand over our system in a fast 4-phase rollout:
- Phase 1: Register Mapping Audit (1-2 Days) — Tracing serial loops and documenting machine controller register maps.
- Phase 2: Gateway Cabinet Mounting (1 Day) — Mounting gateways, connecting power, and setting up cellular antennas.
- Phase 3: Subdomain Setup (2 Days) — Activating your workspace subdomain and configuring alert thresholds.
- Phase 4: Calibration & Handover (1 Day) — Validating anomaly boundaries and training operations teams.
WireNode Mounting & Serial Wiring
This guide details how to install and wire the WireNode Edge Gateway inside standard industrial electrical panels.
Enclosure Specifications
- Height: 120 mm
- Width: 85 mm
- Depth: 45 mm
- Profile: 35mm DIN-rail compatible case
Installation Steps
- DIN-Rail Attachment: Align the rear slot of the gateway with a vacant section of your panel's 35mm DIN rail and press firmly until it snaps into place.
- DC Power Connection: Feed a stable 9-24V DC power line into the two-pin power terminal block at the base of the gateway.
- Serial Line Interface (RS485): Connect the half-duplex RS485 communication line wires (D+ and D-) into the gateway Modbus terminals. Ensure a 120-ohm termination resistor is wired across the lines if cable distance exceeds 50 meters.
- Antenna Routing: Feed the external magnetic 4G LTE/WiFi antennas outside the metallic control box to ensure optimal signal reception.
Thresholds & Alarm Routing
BytBoard tracks and dispatches alerts dynamically based on your custom operational boundaries.
Alarm Severity Classifications
- Info: Telemetry events logged for pattern analytics (e.g. routine defrost cycles).
- Warning: Minor deviations showing warning flags (e.g. chamber doors open >5 minutes).
- Critical: Immediate alerts triggering push notifications (e.g. storage temperature rising above -12°C).
Steps to Configure Alarms
- Log into your private BytBoard workspace subdomain.
- Select Configurations from the sidebar navigation.
- Click the target device identifier (e.g. Compressor 4).
- Input threshold values (upper/lower safety limits), continuous duration tolerances, and select target contacts for SMS/Email/Push alerts.
